AT-KABUL: The ex-President Hamid Karzai and President Ashraf Ghani offered Fatiha for the departed soul of Azizullah Wasifi at Eidgah mosque in Kabul on Sunday.
Hamid Karzai extended his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in the eternal peace.
According to a statement issued by the Presidential Palace, President Ashraf Ghani also attended the praying ceremony. The president expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
Azizullah Wasifi, was a prominent national, political, social and culture figure, who passed away early last week.
It is worth mentioning that Karzai also attended the praying ceremony for late Wasifi in Kandahar province last week.
