Kabul: Due to heavy rains and floods in Parwan, Kabul-North highway is blocked for traffic.

According to local media, heavy rain has caused flooding in some parts of Charikar city, the center of Parwan, and has destroyed a number of houses, shops and agricultural lands.

The witnesses say that these floods have caused a lot of financial losses.

Head of natural disaster preparedness in Parwan province told the media that these floods have caused financial losses to some families, shopkeepers and vendors.

He said that the floods have blocked a number of roads in Parwan and destroyed dozens of bridges and sewers.

He said that the exact figures of casualties caused by these floods are not yet available.

However, the Afghanistan Meteorological Department has announced the possibility of snowfall in 26 provinces of Afghanistan along with thunder and lightning and heavy floods.
