KABUL: Some political analysts blame Former President Ashraf Ghani for the ongoing political chaos and economical crises.
They believe that if Ghani transferred power through a political settlement instead of fleeing the country, the collapse of the military and many other challenges would have not happened.
“If Ghani agreed to transfer power through a political settlement to the Islamic Movement of Taliban as a result of the intra-Afghan negotiations, everything would remain untouched and the situation would have been way better,” said a member of the Hezb-e-Islami, Hamayon Jarir
A senior former diplomat, Shukria Barakzai said that Ghani’s fleeing paved the ground for the collapse of the 350,000 Afghan military personnel. “International aides have been banned, thousands of educated youths left Afghanistan and finally the country faced economical crisis,” she added.
Meanwhile, a member of the information and culture commission of the Taliban, Noor Mohammad Motawakil said that the Islamic Movement of Taliban expected the transition of power through political settlement. “Ashraf Ghani boosted up problems with his escape, he added. “We hope the world cooperates with us and the Islamic Emirate wants good relations with the world,” he added.
