Lukashenko pledges aid to Afghanistan

KABUL – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has declared solidarity with Afghanistan, promising crucial aid amidst ongoing challenges. Following high-stakes discussions with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent, Lukashenko revealed plans for Belarus and Uzbekistan to supply essential medicines and food to Afghanistan.

Addressing reporters, Lukashenko underscored the urgency of supporting neighboring states like Afghanistan, highlighting the dire need for necessities such as medicines, food, and clothing. “We can be of great help to Afghanistan if we join forces,” Lukashenko affirmed, emphasizing the pivotal role of collaboration in addressing humanitarian crises.

Furthermore, the leaders agreed to bolster infrastructure by constructing poultry factories, aimed at meeting not only domestic demands but also facilitating exports to Afghanistan. Lukashenko commended Uzbekistan’s initiative, echoing the importance of pragmatic solutions rooted in meeting the needs of their peoples and neighbors.
