Pakistan Expels Over 1,000 Afghan Migrants Amid Continued Deportations

AT

Kabul: More than 1,000 Afghan migrants were expelled from Pakistan on Tuesday, April 14, as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to deport undocumented immigrants.

The migrants, who entered the country via the Torkham and Spin Boldak border towns, were deported, according to the Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees. Among those expelled were 191 families, along with three Afghan nationals who had recently been released from Pakistani prisons.

The large-scale repatriation and deportation of refugees have sparked concerns about their well-being in Afghanistan, where they encounter challenges such as inadequate shelter, unemployment, and limited access to essential services.
