AT-KABUL: At least 10 people were killed and over 40 others were wounded after an explosive went off in a district bazaar in northern Badakhshan province Monday morning, officials said.
“Ten people were killed and over 40 others mostly civilian were injured, after roadside hidden explosive devices blew up in a crowded Bazar in Keshm district,” said Police Chief of Keshm district Saifullah.
He said that wounded people rushed to hospital for treatment and investigation is going on the case.
Till date target of the blast was not clear, but mostly civilian harmed in the incident.
No any armed group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Badakhshan has recently turned to an insecure province, where mostly Tajikistani and Uzbek Taliban are active and supporting Afghan Taliban in running terrorist and subversive activities in the province.
