20 Taliban killed in Zabul

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: In two separate airstrikes and a clash, at least twenty Taliban insurgents have been killed in southern Zabul province, an official said on Saturday.

Fourteen Taliban were killed in overnight airstrike in the Bata Khelo area of Nawbahar district on Friday evening, Gen. Sidiqullah Saber, commander of the 205th Maiwand Military Corps second Brigade said.

In a separate overnight drone strike at least four Taliban were killed. The drone strike target the Taliban in the Nawrak area on the outskirts of Qalat, the provincial capital Saberi said.

Two more insurgents were killed and three other injured in a clash in the Arghandab district. The clash erupted when militants attacked security forces post.

Militants have not yet commented about the incident so far.
