54 insurgents killed in raids

AT-KABUL: At least 54 militants were killed and 24 others wounded in different operations launched by the security forces in the past 24 hours.

In a statement, the ministry of defense said, that the Afghan National Army with the cooperation of the Afghan National Police and the National Directorate of Security (NDS), conducted operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Ghazni, Paktia, Kandahar, Faryab and Sar-e-Pul provinces.

The statement said that in these operations 54 insurgents including nine Daesh affiliates were killed and 24 others were injured.

During these operations in the past 24 hours, Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions by artilleries and air force

During these operations, 22 insurgents were killed and eight others were wounded in Sancharak district of Sar-e-Pul, 10 Taliban fighters were killed and six other wounded in Giro and Dehyak district of Ghazni and nine Daesh affiliates were killed and five others were wounded in Khogyani and Dehbala districts of Nangarhar province.
