KABUL- Taliban fighters have attacked and killed a man and several members of his family after accusing him of working with the Americans in southwestern Afghanistan.
Taliban fighters attacked the house of Najeebullah and killed the man along with his several family members on Saturday in Lashkargah, capital city of southwestern Helmand province.
According to local people, Taliban attacked the family after blaming Najeebullah and his daughter for working with a US agency in Afghanistan.
The mentioned family was attacked in 2016 by the insurgent group as well. In that incident Taliban torched the family’s house in which a son of Najeebullah was killed due to heavily being burned in the incident. After that unfortunate tragedy the family left the province and fled.
However, Saturday’s incident happened after Najeebullah and his family was returned to the village after few years of displacement and were brutally killed by the Taliban.
