AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Afghanistan’s ambassador to Azerbaijan said that Kabul values relations with Baku highly and the Afghan government is committed to strengthen bilateral ties with Azerbaijan.
In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmadov, Afghan envoy Muhammad Taqi Khalili said that his country wants deeper relations with Azerbaijan in different sectors, particularly in political, humanitarian and economic areas.
Khalili also commended Azerbaijan for its contribution towards establishment of durable peace and stability in the region.
The deputy prime minister of Azerbaijan said that Kabul and Baku could play significant role together to maintain regional stability and peace.
Last month in a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, the Afghan ambassador said the two countries could improve ties further in military field.
Thanking Azerbaijani servicemen for their contribution to help in maintenance of security in Afghanistan, Khalili said that the two countries always supported each other at international platforms.
