KABUL: President Ashraf Ghani said that Afghan masses have the right to elect their President not Moscow, Tehran or Islamabad, while terming foreign conspires and plans as a failure.
In his address to youths from Loya Kandahar at Presidential Palace, Ashraf Ghani said the Afghan masses are electing president of their country.
Ghani called on Taliban to convince Pakistan and other terrorists to accept the path of development in Afghanistan as he convinced world for Afghan peace.
He informed of a plan for the future of Afghanistan, saying peace would not prevail by paper rather with accepting each others.
There is no need to return to the past period and assured that peace would come.
His remark made when all is set for fifth round of talks between US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban negotiating team in Qatar.
Recently, the Taliban members met Afghan influential figures in Moscow for the first such kind of intra-Afghan talks. The meeting was held for two days in Moscow where Afghan officials termed it as success.
