KABUL: A number of analysts claim that some domestic elements, which are in contrary with the peace process have been behind murdering of the peace activists.
In a gathering held to commemorate the death of Wahid Mozdha, a political analyst, who was last week shot dead by some unidentified armed men in Kabul, the experts have said the assassination of peace supporters would have put dangerous impact on Afghanistan and such acts were considered risky alarms towards country’s future.
They said the government is obliged to protect the freedom of speech.
Member of “Hezb-e-Islami”, a political party led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Abdul Satar Khwasi said that despite the peace efforts have been increased recently, the target killings are in a noticeable level and that people who supports peace are being targeted.
Meanwhile, former presidential advisor, Akram Khpalwak said whenever peace talks are getting close to a result; the individuals who play important roles in it are being assassinated.
This comes as on Wednesday, a prominent political figure, Wahid Muzdha was killed by two armed men in PD 7th of Kabul city. The interior ministry said that the investigation was underway to find out the perpetrator of the incident.
