Kandahar elders express support for peace process

KABUL: Tribal elders and influential figures in the southern province of Kandahar on Monday voiced their support of the ongoing peace efforts.

They said the war had been imposed on Afghans, calling on the government to put an end to the current war.

The tribal elders also said the peace efforts would be the last chance for Afghans and they would stand against anyone who tried to sabotage the process.
