Kidnapped Indian engineer rescued

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: An Indian engineer has been rescued on Saturday who was kidnapped in Wardak province two months ago, provincial police official said.

Wardak police confirmed the report, saying the rescue operation had been completed successfully.

According to police, they have carried out three operations to rescue the Indian engineer.

However, the fourth operation conducted on Saturday was successful to rescue the engineer.

The Indian engineer had been working for an electricity construction company on the Turkmenistan power line project where he was abducted on gunpoint.
