KABUL: Hundreds of jobless laborers on the other side of Durand crossing staged a demonstration to protest the closure of the Torkham gate.
The protestors called on the government of Pakistan to reopen the gate and allow the people and laborers to pass the crossing.
They were chanting anti-Pakistani slogans, warning to continue their protests until their demands were accepted.
The laborers said that their businesses were severely damaged due to the prolonged closure of the gate.
This comes as earlier Pakistan closed the Torkham crossing against the passengers due to the outbreak of the Covid-19.
