Pakistan’s role in ending terrorism vital: MoFA

AT-KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Afghanistan on Thursday said that cooperation of Islamabad in tackling extremism and terrorism is very important.

Addressing a seminar on regional radicalization, Director General of Regional Cooperation Directorate (RCD) in the foreign ministry Roya Rahmani termed terrorism and extremism as major threat to the world peace.

She said that Islamabad could play vital role in ending terrorism from the region.

Responding to a question, she said not only Islamabad but the whole region and international community should come under one umbrella to defeat the exponentially growing terrorism and extremism.

“Terrorism is a phenomenon. Only Afghanistan and Pakistan cannot end it, but there is need for genuine and wide support of the international community,” emphasized Ms Rahmani.
