KABUL: Afghan police says they have foiled deadly blasts in the capital, Kabul, after defusing roadside mines—an incident that could take lives of innocent residents.
Afghan forces succeeded to foil deadly blasts Sunday morning as they defused mines planted in roadsides of Afghan Red Crescent Society and Kampany area bridge in 5th Police District vicinity of Kabul city, Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
The mines were planted by the enemies to target innocent residents of the area which was naturalized jointly be Afghan police and intelligence operatives, the statement added.
This comes as terror acts in Kabul increased as on Friday a blast occurred inside a mosque in 9th PD of Kabul city, in which a prominent religious scholar Mawlawi Rahihan embraced martyrdom and over 30 others received injures. People were performing Friday prayers when the blast occurred.
