10 people die of COVID-19 in Afghanistan

KABUL: At least 10 patients have lost their lives battling the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Wednesday.

The death tolls jumped to 1,436 since the pandemic outbreak started in the country months ago.

40 new positive coronaviruses were also recorded during this period that brought the total tally to 38,855 in the country.

According to the ministry, 12 cases were recorded in Herat, 11 in Balkh, 10 in Daykundi, three in Maidan Wardak, two in Kabul and one case each in Badakhshan and Kandahar provinces.

405 covid-19 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing total recoveries to 32,503.
