KABUL: The Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF) on Wednesday sent the dossier of 106 drug traffickers to CJTF’s special directorate of attorney for prosecuting.
Spokesperson of CJTF, Ahmad Khaled Moahed, said that 106 smugglers including one woman were apprehended by Counter-Narcotics Police in various crackdowns in different provinces in the past two months and were transferred to Kabul for proceeding.
The spokesman said that the investigation was carried out by the CJTF, which after examining the evidences handed over the dossiers of the alleged drug smugglers to CJTF’s special directorate of attorney for further criminal prosecution.
At least 590 kg heroin, 17,456 kg opium, over 362 kg hashish and 1,137 liters liquor was recovered from the smugglers, he said.
The CJTF special directorate of attorney will prosecute the cases transparently, he claimed.
