KABUL: At least two people were killed and another one wounded after gunfire erupted between illegal armed groups in Bagram district of northern Parwan province.

District chief Lala Shireen Roufi said the incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Nasro village of the district.

This comes as earlier several people lost their lives during gun-battles between the illegal armed groups in the province. One month ago, three people were killed during a clash between two brothers.

With the Taliban ramping up pressure on the government through attacks on several parts of the country- the residents of several provinces made armed besiegement to fight against the insurgents- but the formation of militia groups has also sparked fear of bad consequences among the people.
