AT-KABUL: At least 42 anti-state elements were killed and 32 others wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.
In a press release issued here, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted multiple operations against insurgents in different areas of Zabul, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Logar, Paktika, Khost, Kunduz, Balkh, Kapisa and Kunar provinces. In these operations 42 rebels were killed and 32 others were injured.
Four insurgents were also arrested and handed over to relevant judicial body for further investigation. The ANP discovered and confiscated significant amount of ammunition in the operations, the statement said.
