Kabul: Zabihullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesman, wrote on Twitter that eight ISIS members were killed and seven other were arrested in an operation late today on 8th district of Kabul.
He said that there was an operation on ISIS hideouts in Qalache and Shuhada-e-Saleheen area in Kabul.
He also added that two ISIS members were also arrested in Nimroz province today.
Previously, news sources had reported that “several explosions” had occurred in the eighth district of Kabul.
Eyewitnesses say that in this incident security forces attacked a house and used heavy weapons.
According to them, the attack started around 4:00 PM and continued until 5:30 PM.
Social media users also wrote that after several explosions, gunshots were heard in the area.
