AT-KABUL: The Intelligence operatives discovered and confiscated 7800kg ammonium nitrite in Torkhambeing smuggled from Pakistan to be used for subversive terrorist activities in eastern Nangarhar province, said officials.

Afghan intelligence operatives succeeded to discover and seize 7800kg ammonium nitrite during an special operation in Torkham area related to Momand Dara district of Nangarhar, said Provincial Governor Spokesperson Attullah Khogiani.

He said that the mentioned ammonium nitrite was hided skillfully in socks under green vegetable in a truck, which was recognized by intelligence forces and seized.

The confiscated ammonium nitrite was transferred from Pakistan for subversive and terrorist activities in Nangarhar, which before reaching target seized by security forces, he added.

The truck was parked in an area, thus no one arrested in connection to the seized ammonium nitrite, but police has started investigation of the case, he mentioned.
