By Farhad Naibkhel-Kabul: A terrorist attack on the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in Kabul ended after Afghan forces gunned down all the eight assailants on Wednesday afternoon, said officials.

Ministry of Interior Spokesman Najeeb Danish said that all eight terrorists were killed and the attackon the Ministry of Interior ended.

He said that in advance a suicide attack detonated his explosive-laden body in the first checkpoint in front of the entrance gate of the Ministry of Interior at around 12:20pm in order to open way to other assailants to storm inside the ministry compound.

He said that shortly after the suicideattack,seven invaders struggled to storm inside the MoI compound but faced police resistance and were all gunned down.

In the suicide bombing in the first check point, five policemen were wounded. He said that situation has normalized inside the MoI complex and only few areas blocked because the suicide attackers who were killed there suicide vests are not neutralized.

He said that technical teams are working to neutralize the killed suicide attackers’ vests.The attacker were clad in foreign military uniforms riding a Land Cruiser vehicle.
