Afghan, UAE leaders confer on bilateral issues

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani spoke by phone with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and discussed issues of mutual interest.

The Afghan president and Sheikh Mohammad discussed bilateral ties and the ongoing war on terrorism, the UAE’s official WAM news agency reported on Friday.

The two leaders discussed ways to improve bilateral relations between the two Muslim countries further. The UAE’s contribution and cooperation in economic and social areas, particularly education and health sectors, came under discussion. Both agreed that terrorism pose great threat to the regional and global stability and needed joint efforts to deal with this complex phenomenon.
