Afghanistan records 484 Covid-19 cases, 37 deaths

KABUL: Afghanistan recorded 484 new cases of Covid-19 and 37 deaths across the country in the past 24 hours, health ministry said on Sunday.

According to the ministry, the new cases were recorded out of 2,548 samples tested in laboratory during this period. The total tally of infections since the outbreak the virus reached to 147,985. The ministry of health put the number of recoveries in one last day to 1,341.

The total death number surpasses to 6,774 since the outbreak of the pandemic. This is come as the ministry of higher education is planning to gradually reopen universities for the students. According to the ministry, the students are obliged to take Covid-19 vaccine before entering to the universities.
