Afghanistan, a victim of extremism, terrorism: Karzai
AT-KABUL: The former President Hamid Karzai said that Afghanistan has been the victim of extremism and terrorism, which is being used as means to reach the great goals of a number of countries.
He said this on Wednesday, while delivering speech in Seventh Moscow Conference on International Security.
He also talked about the emerged of Islamic State (IS), which is also known as Daesh terrorist, putting its materialization as highly questionable. “Emerge of Daesh terrorists in Afghanistan in the presence of US military and intelligence is highly questionable,” Karzai told the conference.
Furthermore, Karzai condemned bombardment of Afghan homes and villages, rather turned inter-Afghan peace talks as the only way out of the current predicaments of the country.
Karzai stressed that Afghanistan should once again become a vista for regional cooperation and synergy not for rivalries.
