KABUL: Deputy Intelligence Chief of Islamic State (IS), also known as Daesh terrorist group, has been killed during a raid conducted by the operatives of National Directorate of Security (NDS) in eastern Nangarhar province.
Amir Khan, aka Masoud Kaftry was killed in Sandali area in Khogyani district, officials said on Monday.
Nangarhar Press Disk said that the killed terrorist had designed to carry out a car bombing in Jalalabad, and Kabul cities. His terrorist plan has been foiled, the statement added.
One AK-47, with some bullets and a Daesh flag was confiscated from the killed insurgent.
Similarly, two AK-47 guns and one pistol with some magazine were destroyed during the operation, the statement concluded.
Moreover, a Daesh suicide bomber, who was trying to carry out a car bombing attack near a Mosque in Jalalabad city was recognized and arrested before to reach his intended target.
