KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 87 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths across the country in the past 24 hours, said the Ministry of Public Health on Saturday.
The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic has reached 61,842 across the country, the ministry said in a statement.
The new cases were recorded out of 908 suspected samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Another 21 patients have fully recovered during the same period of time.
The total recoveries have exceeded to 54,040 and the deaths to 2,686 around the country since the outbreak of the pandemic started in the country a year ago.
