Kapisa landmine explosion leaves 10 civilians dead

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A landmine explosion in Kapisa province has killed 10 civilians and injured nine others, official said on Sunday.

The Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) detonated when the vehicle, civilians were traveling in, ran over the landmine in Tagab district of the province on Sunday morning.

Abdul Karim Fayeq, the provincial police chief while confirming the incident said, the blast has destroyed a mini-van (Flangkoch) in which ten onboard were killed and nine were injured. He added that the injured one was shifted to the provincial hospital and according to the health officials no one was in critical condition.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
