Russian business tycoons urged to invest in Afghan housing sector

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Minister of Urban Development Affairs, Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, urged Russian business tycoons to invest in Afghanistan’s real estate sector.

Naderi who is on a trip to Moscow, leading a government delegation, said that his visit to Russia is aimed to convince Russian officials to invest in Afghanistan, and discuss the agreements already signed between the two countries.

The minister also called on the Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Zamir Nabiyevich Kabulov. He also met with Russian businessmen there.

An agreement has been signed between Afghanistan’s House Construction Sector and a Russian industry, which is based on a 49% and 51% share.

As per the agreement, Russia will deliver USD25 million worth of construction equipment which will empower the construction company to build up to 1,000 apartments a year.
