U.S. Pledges $10 Million in Reward for Information on ISIS-K Leader

AT News

KABUL: The U.S. Department of State announced to offer up to 10-million dollar reward for information on identification of the ISIS-K Leader’s location.

The offer was made for informations leading to ISIS-K leader, Sanaullah Ghafari and the arrest of the individuals involved in the deadly attack of mid-August that also left over 150 Afghan civilians dead and dozens of others wounded.

At least 13 American soldiers were killed in the attack that happened amid a chaotic evacuation of the U.S. and aliases.

In June 2020, Ghafari was appointed by the extremist group to lead ISIS-K. Ghafari was responsible for approving all ISIS-K operations throughout Afghanistan and arranging funding to conduct operations, the US State Department said.

In November, the State Department classified Ghafari as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist.”

This comes as the U.S. military officials told a press conference last Friday that the attack on the Kabul airport in August was carried out by a single bomber.

However, according to some findings, the wounded and dead received by the hospitals in Kabul had bullet signs on their bodies.
