ANDSF kills 146 insurgents in raids

AT-KABUL: At least146 militants have been killed and117 have been wounded in military crackdown conducted by national security forces over the past day, according to military authorities.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Farah, Badghis, Sar-e-Pul, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, Faryab, Balkhand Helmand provinces.
Statement said that in these operations 146 insurgents including three Daesh affiliates were killed and 117others wounded.
Afghan forces has arrested one terrorist and handed over him to judicial organs for further inquiry.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, 62 Taliban fighters were killed and 73 others wounded in Nish, Khakriz and Maiwand district of Kandahar, 30 militants were killed in Chonai area in center of Paktia, 24 insurgents were killed, 20 wounded and three enemy hideout destroyed in Sayad district of Sar-e-Pul, 10 rebels were killed in center of Helmand, three Daesh loyalists were killed in Khogiani and Achin districts of Nangarhar province.
Similar, seven militants were killed and 11 others wounded in Muqor district of Badghis, seven insurgents were killed, two wounded and one arrested in Daymirdad and Nerkh districts of Maidan Wardak, three rebels were killed and four others wounded in Emam Sahib district of Kunduz, two militants were killed and seven others wounded in central areas of Farah province.
In past 24 hours,13 planed clearing operations,and98Special Forces operations conducted in different provinces; also, Air forces conducted130aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including eight strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
ANA as the nation’s defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
