Corruption charges; Two Paktika officials arrested

KABUL: Two senior government servants in southeastern Paktika province have been held and to be investigated over fraud and corruption charges, reliable sources said on Sunday.

A government official who wished to be unidentified told Pajhwok Afghan News, the detained officials were the Economy Department Director and Acting Education Department Director.

Moreover, a provincial education official who wished to go unnamed, said Education Director Mohammad Naseem Wajid has been detained by operatives of the National Directorate of Security (NDS).
