AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least four passengers were killed and three others wounded after a passenger bus collided with a van in southern Kandahar province, officials Saturday.
Kandahar governor spokesman Samim Khpalwak said the incident took place in Maiwand district.
“Police immediately shifted the injured to the nearby hospital,” Khpalwak said.
Provincial traffic police director Mohammadullah Khan said that an investigation team was sent to the scene, adding that the incident occurred due to recklessness of the drivers.
Fast driving, destroyed roads and consuming of narcotics by the drivers often cause traffic accidents which claim dozens of lives every year.
