Young Daesh fighter detained in Nangarhar

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The operatives of National Directorate of Security (NDS) have been detained a young militant of Islamic Sate (IS), also known as Daesh terrorist group in eastern Nangarhar province, Khaama Press reported.

According to the officials of provincial government, the militant, aged 16 was arrested during an operation carried out in Chaparhar district.

Provincial authorities added the detained militant has confessed to his crime who was involved in terrorist and destructive activities for the last six months.

Moreover, the officials furthered that at least two other Daesh militants have been arrested in separate operations conducted in various parts of the province, adding a suspected Daesh affiliate who was on his way to supply seven communication devices to his terrorist group in Haska Mina has been arrested from Jalalabad city, provincial capital of Nangarhar.

Similarly, another young man during an operation carried out close to Tora Bora in Pacher Agam district was detained before he manage to join the Daesh terrorist group, official added.

According to officials, the arrested young man belongs to Kunar province and has been identified as Izatullah. However, no terrorist groups have commented into the matter so far.
