AT-KABUL: Two women were killed and two others injured in a family dispute in the southern Zabul province.
According to the provincial police, a man went to his mother-in-law house in Risala village of Qalat on Tuesday morning and killed his mother-in-law and sister-in-law with a sharp knife.
Sources identified the alleged killer as Amanullah son of Obdaidullah. Police said that the incident took place around 7:00 am. In the attack two women including sister-in-law of the killer were also injured. Police rushed to the crime scene after getting information and detained Amanullah.
The deputy provincial police chief, Col. Ghulam Jailani, confirmed the incident and said the injured women were in hospital. One of the injured women was in stable condition.
“I was washing the dishes when he (murderer) came in the morning, my father was not at home, my brother had also gone to work, I was washing dishes when he came, I stood up for greetings, he suddenly took out his knife stabbed my sister in the stomach and then stabbed my mother,” Khaama Press quoted one of the victims at the hospital saying.
Amanullah attacked the victim and another woman after killing his mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
