28 insurgents killed in raids

AT News Report-KABUL: At least 28 militants have been killed and 19 others were received injuries in different crackdowns in the past 24 hours, security official said.

In a press release issued here, the Ministry of Defense, (MoD), said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP), and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal have conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktika, Maidanwardak, Khost, Kandahar, Urozgan, Badghis, Faryab, Kundoz, Sar-e-Pul and Helmand provinces, in which 28 militants were killed and 19 others wounded. Two insurgents were arrested and handed over to judicial organs for further inquiry, the statement added. Moreover, the Afghan security forces also discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition belonging to the militants.
