Kabul: Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, met with a number of elders and youths of Takhar province on Saturday, July 30.
In this meeting, he emphasized the strengthening of national unity and solidarity among the people of Afghanistan; he added that the bright future of the country was considered in the growth of education and the opening of girls’ schools above the sixth grade as soon as possible.
He considered the national unity a code of liberation from the intrigues of foreigners, and in accordance to participants’ views; he considered the welfare and development of the country to be in the acquisition of knowledge and emphasized the immediate opening of schools for girls.
