KABUL: The parliamentarians claim that the government had spent a large amount of Afs from last year’s budget, which they call, was a hyper use.
In the Monday session that acting finance minister was summoned to answer the lawmakers’ questions, the legislatives said that president’s office spent 30 million Afs, the chief executive office 10 million Afs while the National Directorate of Security used more than one billion Afs from the last year’s national budget.
They called for trial of those government officials who are charged with corruption.
But the acting finance minister Homayoun Qayyoumi, rejected the allegations over the misuse of money, saying that the reports were baseless.
The lawmakers added that 37 cases of the law violation were seen in last year’s budget.
But some of the lawmakers stood against their colleagues, accusing them of cooperating government officials in the money misuse.
The acting finance minister said that even a penny was not misused from the last year’s national budget.
