Taliban bombers attack Zabul Security Chief’s house

AT-KABUL: Three Taliban armed attackers today afternoon attacked the house of Zabul Security Chief, in Qalat city, where after few minutes, one attacker was killed and two were detained by security forces, provincial official said.

Zabul Governor’s spokesman, Gul Islam Syal, told Afghanistan Times three suspected Taliban armed men today afternoon at 5:40pm tried to enter house of Ghulam Jailani Farahi, security chief of Zabul province.

Security guards and police in the area reacted fast where within few minutes one attacker was killed and two others were detained. “No family member of the security chief or his guards and police in the area suffered casualties” Syal said.

The detained men were shifted to related organs for investigation.

Within last few months, this has been the second Taliban attack on Zabul Security Chief, but both attacks were failed, he said.
