AT News

Kabul: The Taliban spokesperson for Balkh Province police command says that house inspections have been launched in Mazar-e-Sharif to ensure the safety of the residents.

The Balkh province police command’s spokesman, Asif Waziri said, “For better security and the request of the people of Mazar-e-Sharif, we formed a commission so that all the houses can be checked in a comprehensive manner.”

In some parts of Mazar-e-Sharif, women also participate in this operation; however, some residents of Mazar-e-Sharif criticize the absence of policewomen in these inspections.

Allah Mohammad, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, said: “When they make an effort, they should have women with them.” We are witnessing that in some houses men are going messing with women’s stuff”

Jamshid Majidi, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, says: “We want the Islamic Emirate to have a female police in the future if they are keeping this search.”

Mohammad Rabi, another resident of this city, said: “Women should be with them, women must be searched by women, and men should be searched by men.”

The Balkh Security Command has said that during these inspections, some weapons were also found, and at the end of this process, they will share the exact figures with the people through the media.

House inspection operations have been resumed in a number of other provinces as well.
