KABUL: Acting defense minister Asadullah Khaled met with Sushma Swaraj, Indian minister for external affairs in New Delhi, where both sides discussed several issues of mutual interest, including security cooperation, defense ministry said Sunday.

The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, according to a statement released by the ministry.

Khaled thanked India for helping Afghanistan in the defense and security sectors, calling for cooperation from New Delhi with the Afghan national army.

Minister Swaraj emphasized on the continuing of her country’s assistance to Afghan security forces, saying that India would help Afghan national army in different parts.
