29 insurgents killed in raids

AT-KABUL: At least 29 armed Taliban militants were killed and 18 others wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Interior said that Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different parts of Nangarhar, Takhar, Sar-e-Pul, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Ghazni, Paktia, Herat, Farah and Helmand provinces. In these operations 29 rebels were killed and 18 others injured.

Three Taliban insurgents were also arrested, the ministry claimed.
