KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai congratulated Roya Mahboob, Afghan entrepreneur and co-founder of the Afghan Girls Robotic Team for winning the Doha Forum 2022 Award.

Former President called Mahboob an example of the Afghan women who can shine on international levels. He also hoped for Afghan girls’ access to education in the country.

Mahboob received the award from Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This award is given to individuals or organizations who are making positive changes in their societies.

“I am deeply pleased and honored to receive this prestigious award. I’d like to sincerely thank His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad AI Thani for his support & generosity from the bottom of my heart. Also I’d like to express my sincere thanks to all the people who make this happen,” Mahboob said in a tweet.
